Warranty Policy
This policy covers products sold by Purple Line Pty Ltd (ACN 147 825 250) of 13 Indian Drive, Keysborough VIC 3173 — including Purple Line branded products, camper and caravan accessories, and spare parts — whether you buy from us as a consumer or as a trade customer. It works together with our Terms and Conditions.
OPUS camper trailers and hybrid caravans
OPUS camper trailers and hybrid caravans have their own warranty, including the 5 year structural, 5 year suspension, 3 year canvas and air tent, and 12 month fittings cover — see the OPUS Camper Warranty at opuscamper.com.au/warranty. This policy does not apply to OPUS campers, but spare parts and accessories purchased separately for an OPUS camper are covered by this policy.
What we warrant
Purple Line branded products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of purchase, when used for their intended purpose in accordance with any instructions supplied. If a product is defective within the warranty period, we will, at our cost, repair it, replace it, or refund the price — whichever is appropriate to the fault.
Products of other brands sold by us carry their manufacturer’s own warranty, and we will help you make a claim under it. That manufacturer’s warranty is in addition to your rights against us under the Australian Consumer Law — it is never your only remedy for a faulty product you bought from us.
What this warranty does not cover
- Fair wear and tear, and consumable parts that wear in normal use.
- Damage from misuse, accident, impact, overloading, or use outside the product’s intended purpose.
- Damage from incorrect installation or assembly contrary to the supplied instructions, or from unauthorised modification or repair.
- Corrosion or deterioration caused by storage in wet or harsh conditions contrary to the product’s care instructions.
These exclusions apply to the voluntary warranty above. They do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
How to make a claim
Email enquiries@purpleline.com.au or call (03) 9588 2959 with your proof of purchase, the date and place of purchase, a description of the fault and when you first noticed it, and photographs where possible. We will assess your claim promptly and tell you the outcome and next steps. If the product needs to come back to us, we will arrange or direct the return: for faulty products, we bear the reasonable costs of the claim, including return freight — you will not be out of pocket to have a genuine fault put right. Warranty repairs are performed by Purple Line or our authorised repairers.
Trade customers
If you buy from us for resale or business use, this warranty applies alongside Part C of our Terms and Conditions: products are warranted to conform with their agreed specification, manufacturer warranties on third-party brands pass through to you, and, for goods not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited as set out in clause C5 of those Terms. Claims follow the same process above; please also note visible damage or shortages on delivery within 7 days as clause C3 requires.
Your rights under Australian law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The benefits given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under law in relation to the goods. This warranty is given by Purple Line Pty Ltd (ACN 147 825 250), 13 Indian Drive, Keysborough VIC 3173, phone (03) 9588 2959, email enquiries@purpleline.com.au.
